Industrial Visit By UITM Undergraduates
PCA Steel Engineering proudly hosted a group of undergraduates from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) for an insightful industrial visit. This initiative is part of PCA Steel Engineering's commitment to fostering educational development and providing real-world exposure to the next generation of engineers.
The students were welcomed by PCA Steel Engineering’s management team, who provided an overview of the company’s operations, including its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and advanced engineering processes.
The tour began with a detailed presentation on PCA Steel Engineering’s core competencies, including sheet metal fabrication and precision engineering. Students were introduced to the company's high-tech machinery and fabrication techniques, such as bending, laser cutting, NC milling, and welding. They also explored the CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, gaining an understanding of how these technologies are used to produce complex components with high precision.
Throughout the visit, the students were given live demonstrations of the machinery in operation. This hands-on experience allowed them to see the practical application of their theoretical knowledge, providing a deeper understanding of the industry standards and processes.
One of the highlights of the visit was the Quality Control (QC) inspection area, where students learned about the rigorous quality assurance measures that ensure the final products meet stringent standards. The QC team explained the importance of precision in engineering and the meticulous checks that are integral to maintaining product integrity.
